DEATHS Mrs. Thomas Rayner THE death has occurred at Wollongong of Mrs. Thomas Rayner, a former well-known resident of the Dunedoo and Leadville districts. Mrs. Rayner was 57 years of age. Born in Cudgegong, the late Mrs Rayner was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Oldfield. Her husband is a member of the well-known Rayner family, of Mullamuddy. Mudgee. The deceased a few months ago attended the wedding in Mudgee of her son, Thomas, jun., to Miss Nellie Pitt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pitt, Melrose, and it was only six weeks ago that she visited Mudgee, when she appeared to be in excellent health. Her death came as a great shock to her friends and relatives in Mudgee. Because of her lovable disposition, the late Mrs. Rayner had a large circle of friends, and her passing is regretted. She is survived by two brothers, Messrs. Gloster Oldfield, Bombira, and William Oldfield, Sydney, and two sisters, both of whom reside in Sydney, they being Mesdames S. Glasson and Parker (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 14 May 1942, p. 9).
