Personal Obituary Notice Mr. George Henry Hextell, who was well known in the Limestone-Cudgegong area, passed away in Royal Newcastle Hospital on Wednesday of last week after a brief illness. Deceased was born at Limestone 82 years ago the eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hextell. He married Miss Lily Gore, of Cudgegong, and they lived in that district and at Kandos for a lengthy period, then moved first to Liverpool and later to Newcastle. It was at the latter city fourteen years ago that he was predeceased by his wife. The late Mr. Hextell is survived by a daughter Eunice (Mrs. Jack Sloss, Merewether) and grand-daughter, Yvonne: also seven sisters and brothers, viz., Martha and Mary (Mudgee), Joseph and Walter (Sydney), Cecil (Mudgee), Leila (Mrs. Walter Pitt, (Cudgegong) and Roy (Cudgegong). The funeral took place on Friday to the Methodist portion of the Sandgate Cemetery. To the bereaved deep sympathy is extended. Mudgee Guardian Thursday 22 October 1959.
