Kandos News. Late Mr. Ashe DIED AT PORTLAND Following a protracted illness, the death of Mr. Charles Ashe, occurred at Portland, on Tuesday morning. The deceased who was well known in pastoral circles throughout the State leaves a wife and grown up family which includes Mr. R. C. Ashe, Bogie, and Messrs. E. S. and Cyril Ashe Kandos (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 17 February 1927, page 28).

OBITUARY.

MRS CHARLES ASHE.

Mrs Charles Ashe, who was highly esteemed in the Rylstone district, passed peacefully away at Portland on Thursday last, in her 78th year. The deceased was the widow of a prominent district grazier, and was the daughter of the late Mr Samuel Smith of Mulgunnia Station, Trunkey. A family of 9 survive, including Messrs R. C. Ashe (Bogie), Norman (Grenfell), Arthur (Wallerawang), Cyril (Clandulla), and Robert (Kandos).(Mudgee Guardian and North Western Representative Monday 19 December1927, p. 2)

Note: Obituary The death occurred at Portland on Tuesday last of Mrs. S. E. Ash, relict of the late Mr. C. W. Ash, aged 77 years. Deceased was married in St. John's Church, Glebe, in 1872, theirs being the first marriage celebrated in that church. The couple lived together in perfect harmony for 54 years, and were blessed with a family of five girls and four boys, all of whom survive. The venerable lady was one of the most highly esteemed residents of the district, and her demise will be deeply regretted. The funeral took place to the Wallerawang cemetery, and was largely attended (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 22 December 1927, page 28).

Obituary: Lloyd Allenby Perram The sudden death of Mr. Lloyd Allenby Perram took place at his home at Stoney Pinch, near Mudgee on June 6. He is survived by his wife Albion, son Allan, daughter Wynetta and sister Nita. Mr. Perram was 57 years old. Mr. Perram took an active part in the community in Mudgee and district. He had been the Cudgegong School bus driver for a number of years. The Mudgee Police Citizens Boys Club was one of the organisations in town which he took an active part in its activities.
