Death August 1903 Age: 83
Note:

Death of an old Mudgee Identity. Word readied Mudgee by wire on Monday that Mr. Henry Dean, formerly of the firm of Atkinson and Dean, had passed away at his residence, Glebe, Sydney, aged 83. The late Mr. Dean was an identity of Mudgee in the better days, and amassed a competence. With his family the deceased gentleman went to reside in Sydney some years ago, where he enjoyed the peace of a well earned retirement. Mudgee Guardian, Monday 10 August 1903, p. 2. Death Henry Dean

Note:

LOCAL BREVITIES. The late Mr. Henry Deane, whose death occurred in Sydney this week, was a relic of the pioneer contingent. He made a heap of money in Mudgee and left for Sydney in the land boom days, where by judicious speculation he added to his wealth. Until the last two years the deceased gentleman enjoyed the best of health, when symptoms of dropsy set in, and this terrible malady was the cause of his death. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 13 August 1903, p. 9. Death Henry John Dean
