Note: WEDDINGS.

WEDDINGS. FITZGERALD - KENNEDY. The Rev. Father Flanagan, of Mudgee, was the celebrant on Saturday, September 6, at nuptial mass in the R.C. Church, Cooyal, when Anne, second eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Kennedy, Stony Creek, was married to Gerald, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Fitzgerald, of Mudgee. The church was tastefully decorated by the friends of the bride, who was gowned in white silk marocain, having a train of white georgette lined with shell pink. She wore an embroidered tulle veil and wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white stocks and arum lilies, tied with white satin streamers. She was attended by Miss Tilly Kennedy frocked in white voile, trimmed with lace and insertion, and wearing a blue hat trimmed with shaded flowers in Oriental color effects, and carrying a shower bouquet of cream double stocks and asparagus fern. The train-bearers were Misses Nellie and Mary Kennedy, dressed in white voile, trimmed with lace and insertion and having hand-made ring georgette roses at waist. They carried bouquets of white stocks and daffodils. The bride-groom's gift to the bride was a white xylonite brush set, to the bridesmaid a gold armlet, and gold bangles to the train-bearers. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a traveling rug. Mr. George Fitzgerald, bRother of the bride-groom, acted as best man. As the couple left the church the Wedding March was played by Mrs. Maloney. The wedding breakfast was held at the residence of the bride's parents, over 40 guests participating. When Mr. and Mrs. Fitzgerald left for Orange, where the honey-moon is being spent, the bride wore nigger crepe de chene, trimmed with an Oriental bead buckle, and hat to match. The happy couple were the recipients of many beautiful and valuable presents. Their future home will be in Mudgee (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 11 September 1924, p. 29).
