Note: WEDDING.

WEDDING. On Saturday, July 17, "Oakleigh," Bylong-road, the residence of Mr. and Mrs. B. Bayliss, was the scene of a very pretty wedding, when Ida, their eldest daughter, was married to Mr. A. Durie, son of Mr. John Durie, mine manager, of Lithgow. The Rev. E. H. Walker, of St. James' Church of England, Rylstone, officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very pretty in a dress of cream silk sponge cloth, with a wreath and veil. Miss Vera Bayliss, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and wore a dress of white embroidered voile, with white tagel hat, trimmed with pink roses. Mr. Alf. Bayliss, uncle of the bride, acted as best man.The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a diamond and ruby ring and to the bridesmaid a gold bangle. The young couple left by motor the same evening for Lithgow, and thence by train to Kiama, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The presents were both useful and costly. Their future home will be Lithgow. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 22 July 1915, p. 11. Wedding Durie and Bayliss
