Death of a brother | John Farrar 30 July 1931 (aged 61 years) DEATH MR. JACK FARRAR Mr. Jack Farrar, of Mudgee-street, Rylstone, passed away on Monday evening at his home, leaving a widow, two sons and a daughter to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father. Mr. Farrar had complained of a pain in the region of his heart for a few days prior to his decease, but it was not thought that he was in any immediate dan-ger of passing away, and it was a terrible blow to the family when they went to call him to his supper on Monday evening, to find he had died without any of them knowing. This makes the third death in our midst within the week, and in each instance the passing has been swift and unexpected. Our sympathies are extended to the family so greatly bereaved(Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 2 July 1931, page 6). |

Death of a sister | Elizabeth Farrar 27 October 1943 (aged 73 years) Elizabeth Farrar It is with deep regret we report the passing in the district hospital on Friday afternoon last of Elizabeth Farrar, at the age of 63. Deceased was a sister of Mrs. M. Mitchell, of Kandos, and had spent all her life in this district. The late Mrs. Farrar was of a lovable nature and was held in high esteem by a large circle of friends. The funeral took place on Saturday last to the Catholic portion of the Rylstone cemetery, the last sad rites being performed by Father Kenefick. To the bereaved we extend our deepest sympathy (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 2 December 1943, page 7). |
