RICHES— WYLDES. The marriage of Miss Elsie Riches, youngest daughter of Mrs. D. Riches, Rylstone, and Herbert Oscar, second son of Mrs. G. Wightman, of Portland, was celebrated at St. James' Church of England, Rylstone, on April 3, by Rev. W. V. Thomson. The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion by friends of the bride. As the bride entered the church on the arm of her father, Mr. W. Riches the choir sang "The Voice that Breathed O'er Eden." She wore a gown of silk georgette, trimmed with insertion and orange blossoms, a wreath of which also held her tulle veil in place. She also carried a beautiful bouquet of white cactus dahlias, roses, and ferns, held in place by silver bells. The bride was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Esme Farrar and Miss Myrtle Wightman. Miss Farrar wore a pretty frock of blue crepe-de-chene, with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of blue plumbago and ferns. Miss Wightman wore pink crepe-de-chene with black hat and carried a bouquet of pink cactus dahlias. Mr. Arthur Irwin, of Kan-dos, acted as best man. After the ceremony the Wedding March was played Mrs. Thomson, and the happy couple motored to the home of the bride's mother, where the reception was held. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a beautiful morocco handbag, and to each bridesmaid a handsome xylonite toilet set. The bride's present to the bridegroom was a pair of gold sleeve links. The couple left by the evening train for Katoomba and the South Coast, where the honeymoon was spent. The bride chose a frock of grey crepe-de-chene with hat and gloves to match. Their future home will be in Rylstone. The wedding presents were numerous and costly, and included a number of cheques. Prior to the marriage of Miss Riches she was entertained at a tennis evening by members of the St. James' Church of England choir and presented with a case of stainless cutlery.
