Note: Mainly About People

Mainly About People Mudgee District Personalities The late Mrs. Ethel Harvey, whose death was briefly referred to in Monday’s “Guardian”, was a sincere, generous hearted woman, and her passing brought genuine sorrow to many homes in Mudgee. Born in Lue, she was a member of the old Rope family, and in that district she was married and spent the whole of her life. A great home-lover, she devoted most of her time to family affairs, but all the same, was ever ready to extend a helping hand to those in distress. In addition to a sorrowing husband, she is survived by a son and daughter, viz: James Vivian and Doy May. The funeral which was largely attended by friends of the family took place on Tuesday after a service in the Methodist Church. Rev. O. Evans officiated, while Messrs. Eastaugh and Carroll had charge of the arrangements. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 5 December 1957. Obituary, Ethel Harvey
