DEATH AT LUE.

We regret to have to record the death of a very old resident of Lue, in the person of Mrs. Ann Pickett at the advanced age of 88 years of age. Her death took place on the 28th July at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. J. Thompson, of the LueHotel, with whom she had resided since the death of her husband (Mr. Samuel Pickett) some twelve years ago. The deceased lady had been a resident of the district for over sixty years. She leaves a family of 4 sons and 8 daughters, besidesgrandchildren and great-grand children. The funeral was very largely attended. The Rev. Mr. Walker, of Rylstone, officiated at the graveside. (Mudgee Guardian and North Western Representative, Thursday 14 August 1913, p. 23).

Mrs. Winifred Hannah Mason, wife of Mr. Thomas Mason, passed away at the District Hospital on Friday night. The interment took place yesterday in the Church of England Cemetery. The Rev. S. Smith officiated and Messrs. Logan and Co. attended to the funeral arrangements.

The death occurred in the Moree District Hospital on Saturday, of Mrs. Winifred Hannah Mason, wife of Mr. Thomas Mason, of Moree. The deceased, who was only 21 years of age, had been an inmate of the institution for some time. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, the remains being interred in the Church of England portion of the cemetery, the Rev. Smith administering the last sad rites. The mortuary arrangements were carried out by Messrs. Logan and Co.

DEATH Alfred John Pickett It is with deep regret we announce the death of Alfred John Pickett, which took place at his son's residence, Kandos, on Saturday afternoon last. Deceased, who was aged 75, had been a resident of this district all his life, and he was held in very high esteem. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mesdames A. King (Rylstone) and S. G. Bradley (Dubbo), and four sons, Cecil (Glebe), Leslie (Glebe), Alvy and Len (Kandos). After a service in St. Luke's Church of England, Lue, conducted by the Rev. E. MAINLY ABOUT PEOPLE. MUDGEE DISTRICT. The death occurred in the Mudgee Hospital on Wednesday of Mrs. Mary Louisa Pickett, aged 79 years. Deceased, who was one of the best known residents of the Rylstone-Lue district, is survived by the following sons and daughters, viz., Cecil, Leslie, Alby, Leonard, Mrs. A. King and Mrs. S. Bradley to whom the sympathy of the whole community will be extended. The funeral will take place to the Catholic portion of the Lue cemetery at 3 o'clock tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, and the Rev. Obituary Cecil Pickett The death occurred in Sydney of well known Kandos-Rylstone identity, Cecil Pickett on March 18. He was aged 81 years. Mr. Pickett was the son of a pioneering family, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Pickett, who resided at Camden for many years and were among the early settlers of the district. Mr. Pickett is survived by his wife, Gwendoline,(Glebe), and daughter, Gladys (Mrs. J. Cosgrove, Punchbowl), and two grandchildren, Keith and Lynne. Surviving members of the family are, bers, Alvey (Mudgee), Len (Toongabbie), and a sister, Coral (Mrs. Stirling, Eastwood).
