Death of a brother | Alfred Charles Harding 31 December 1945 (aged 54 years) Lithgow Deaths MR. A. C. HATTON The death occurred in Lithgow Hospital on Monday morning of Mr. Alfred Charles Hatton, at the age of 55 years. A native of Gulgong, the deceased had resided in Lithgow for the past 47 years. He worked at the iron works for a number of years and more recently at the S.A.F., where he was employed until the Christmas holiday break. He was taken suddenly ill on Saturday morning last. Deceased was a returned soldier from the Great War and was a member of the Ancient Order of Foresters. The son of Mr. and Mr. W. Hatton, of Sandford-avenue, the late Mr. Hatton is also survived by six bers and four sisters, to whom will be extended deepest sympathy. Members of the family are: Messrs. Harry and Herbert Hatton (Mudgee), John Hatton (McKellar's Paddock), Joseph Hatton (Albion Park), Samuel Hatton (Geordie-street, Lithgow), and Archie Hatton (Bathurst) , and Mesdames L. Morris (McKellar's Paddock), F. Murray, Hermitage Flat), J. Tait (Orange) and J. Weekes (Musket-parade, Lithgow). The funeral moved from Messrs. Matthews and Lemon's funeral parlors yesterday afternoon, after a service by the Rev. W. Whitbread, burial being made in the Church of England portion of Bowenfels Cemetery. There was a large attendance, and numerous floral tributes. Members of the local sub-branch of the R.S.S. and A.I.L.A., and also the Ancient Order of Foresters, marched in front of the cortege. The "Last Post" at the graveside was sounded by Cpl. R. Hodder. Pall-bearers were: Messrs. H. J. Waters, T. J. Lawler and G. W. Gore (Ancient Order of Foresters) and H. Steele, O. Murkins and J. Death of a mother | Wilhelmina Ellen Harding 26 November 1951 (aged 60 years) Death Of Mrs. W. E. Hatton A respected resident of Lithgow for the past 50 years, Mrs. Willemina Ellen Hatton, of Rabaul-street, Littleton, passed away in the district hospital this morning at the age of 80 years. The late Mrs. Hatton had not been in good health for the past fortnight, but was admitted to hospital only last night. Deceased, who was of a retiring disposition, nevertheless held the esteem and respect of all who knew her. She was born at Gulgong and came to Lithgow about 50 years ago. For the greater part of her residence in Lithgow she lived in Sandford-avenue, but for the past six months had resided with her daughter, Mrs. J. T. Tait, of Littleton. Predeceased by her husband four and a half years ago, the late Mrs. Hatton is survived by a family of six sons and four daughters and numerous grandchildren, to whom deepest sympathy will be extended. Members of the family are Harry, Bert (Mudgee), John Samuel (Lithgow), Joseph (Albion Park), Archibald (Sydney), Lilian (Mrs. T. Morris), Mabel (Mrs. F. Murray), Ellen (Mrs. J. T. Tait) and Vera Mrs. J. Weekes), all of Lithgow. The funeral is scheduled to leave St. Paul's Church of England following a service tomorrow afternoon, interment to be made in the Anglican section of Bowenfels cemetery.
