Death at Spring Flat. There died at Spring Flat on July 2nd an old resident of Mudgee and Spring Flat of 57 years, in the person of Mrs. Jemima Murkins from senile decay and bronchitis, at the age of 83 years. Deceased leaves five sons and two daughters to mourn her loss, they being Walter (Oakey Park), George and Charles (Eumaralla), James and Henry (Spring Flat), Mrs. F. Fittler (Spring Flat), Mrs. Dougherty (Meroo). The remains were interred in the Church of England portion of the general cemetery. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved. DEATH Mr Henry Murkins, of Spring Flat, died at his home on Thursday last at the age of 54 years, after a protracted illness. He was a peaceful and upright man, and the news of his death was received with deep regret by a wide circle of friends. A widow, three sons, two daughters and several grandchildren are left to mourn their irreparable loss. Deceased is also survived by three bers and two sisters: Walter (Lithgow), George and Charles (Guntawang), Mrs. E. Doherty (Upper Meroo), and Mrs. F. Fittler (Spring Flat). The funeral took place on Friday to the Mudgee cemetery, and was largely attended. Mr. H. Barton directed the funeral arrangements, and the Rev. Canon Parr officiated at the graveside. DEATH Mrs. Mary Ann Murkins The death occurred yesterday, of Mrs. Mary Ann Murkins, aged 88, in the Mudgee District Hospital. Mrs. Murkins, formerly of Spring Flat, was predeceased by her husband Henry, and is survived by six children, Gladys, Vera, Dulcie, Peter, Henry and John. The interment will take place in the Mudgee cemetery following a service in the St. John’s Church of England at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
