LOCAL NEWS Charming Wedding A very pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Mudgee, on Saturday afternoon, the contracting parties being Herbert Kennedy, second eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Player, Bombira Hill, and Mabel, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs Frederick Fittler, Spring Flat. The Rev. Father Dahill officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her bRother Fred, by whom she was given away, was attired in a frock of white crepe de chene, trimmed with silver beads. Her veil was of tulle and silver tinsel embroidery, surmounted by the orthodox wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a superb bouquet of white dahlias, chrysanthemums, and fern. Miss Grace Fittler (sister) made a bewitching bridesmaid, and wore a lovely frock of pale pink crepe-de-chene trimmed with silver beads. Her hat was of white satin, and she carried a bouquet of pink and white chrysanthemums and fern. Mr W. Fittler (bRother) carried out the duties of best man, while Mr. Leckie was groomsman. The wedding breakfast was held at the residence of the bride's parents, where the usual toasts were proposed and honored and congratulations showered on the happy young pair. The presents were numerous and costly. Mr. and Mrs. Player will make their home in Mudgee. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 26 April 1928, p. 20. Wedding Player and Fittler
