Death Notice Jessie Smede Obituary: Mrs Jessie Smede The death occurred in the Prince of Wales Hospital at Randwick on December 22 of Mrs Jessie Smede, aged sixty-six, late of 'Lowlands' Turill, a very highly respected citizen who will be greatly missed by her husband Roddy, her family and many friends. Mrs Smede, who had not been ill for long, was the former Jessie Wright, of Mudgee, and had lived at 'Lowlands' Turill, ever since she and Roddy were married some forty-odd years ago. They were a home loving couple and reared a family of seven children and they also have a number of grandchildren. Mrs Smede is survived by her husband Roderick, daughters Barbara, Janice, Gwen, Jenny, sons Ross, Noel, Rodney, grandchildren and other relatives. The funeral which was widely attended by family, relatives and many friends took place in the Mudgee Cemetery following a service in St. Johns Anglican Church, Mudgee at 11am on December 24.
