The pretty little Roman Catholic Church was filled to overflowing on July 30, with the many friends of Miss Gertie Roberts, who had assembled to see her united in the holy bonds of matrimony with Mr. "Bob" Hobbins. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Eviston. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was dressed in handsomely embroidered white satin, with the customary wreath and veil, and carried a lovely bouquet of flowers, the gift of the bridegroom. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Mary Roberts, who was dressed in shell pink satin with a dainty mob cap, and also carried a bouquet. Mr. Fred Roberts was groomsman. The Wedding March was played by Mrs. F. Hutchinson. The church was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride, the decorations including an evergreen arch over the churchyard gate. An adjournment to the residence of the bride's parents was subsequently made, where the bride's health was proposed by the Rev. Father Eviston, and drank with musical honors. The happy couple departed by the afternoon train for Sydney, and the South Coast, and had an enthusiastic send-off. The bride's travelling costume was of grey velour cloth, trimmed in colors to tone, with a smart black Lady Betty hat, with henna osprey. The newly married couple will reside in Sydney.
