Death | 18 October 1937 (aged 64 years) DEATH Mrs. Arthur Byfield passed away at the district hospital on Monday morning after a lengthy illness. Deceased had been an inmate of the institution for the past ten weeks and her end was not unexpected. The funeral took place in the Roman Catholic portion of the local cemetery on Tuesday, the Rev. Father Moylan officiating at the church and the graveside. To Mr. Byfield and members of the family we offer our sincere sympathy. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 21 October 1937, p. 15. Obituary Mrs Arthur Byfield Obituary PERSONAL The death occurred at Merriwa on Monday last of Mrs. Byfield, wife of Mr. Arthur Byfield, at the age of 61 years, and a native of the Cassilis district. Besides the husband, a grown-up family of six daughters and one son survive to mourn their great loss, namely, Mrs. Joe. Anderson (Sydney), Mrs. R. Wicks, Mrs. J. Miller, Mrs. C. H. Blayden (Merriwa), Mrs. Herb Anderson (Quirindi), Mrs. S. P. Lawler (Tara Hall, Merriwa). The deceased is also survived by five sisters and one brother, namely, Mrs. A. M. Bull (West Maitland), Mrs. Dave Mathews (Gunnedah), Mrs. D. O'Malley, Mrs. Tom Lennox, Mrs. W. Rawlinson, and Mr. John Lennox (Borambil). |
