Wedding Bells. SMEDE—COOK. On Wednesday, 8th instant, at the Church of England, Lue, by the Rev. F. J. Harris, the marriage was celebrated of Mr. J. F. Smede, of Pyangle, and Miss Eliza Esther Cook, daughter of Mr. Jas. Cook, of Breakfast Creek. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. Smede of Cooyal, and like the rest of the large family of sons is an expert wielder of the willow. The bride was given away by her father, and was attired in cream voile, trimmed with cream insertion and cream chiffon, and wore the orthodox wreath of orange blossoms, and carried an exquisite shower bouquet. Miss Smede was bridesmaid and was attired in white muslin trimmed with insertion and white lace. Mr. G. Cook was best man. As the bride entered the church Miss Ivy Young played ''The Voice that Breathed O'er Eden,'' and at the conclusion of the ceremony the wedding party and guests adjourned to the residence of the bride's parents where the wedding breakfast was partaken of, and the usual toasts honored (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Monday 20 January 1908, page 2).
