DEATH OF A CHILD. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Honeysett, of Lower Tallewang, have suffered a great loss in the death of their daughter, Annie, aged 10 years, who succumbed on Saturday evening, March 25, at the Gulgong Hospital. Deceased had suffered from heart trouble for some years. Her death was not wholly unexpected. The funeral was held on the following Monday afternoon, when a large number of friends and relatives followed the remains to the grave. The Rev. H. T. WEDDING. HONEYSETT - SHEARMAN. WEDDING of considerable interest to residents of Goolma and adjacent centres was celebrated at the Church of England, Goolma, on Saturday last when Mr. Richard Honeysett, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Honeysett, of Tallawang, was married to Miss Nellie Shearman, daughter of Mr. R. J. Shearman and the late Mrs. Shearman, of Goolma. The Rev. L. V. Caldwell, of Gulgong, officiated. Mrs. R. Yeo, of Merrygoen, was matron of honor, and Mr. Roy Stewart was best man. About 100 guests attended the reception at the Goolma public hall. The happy couple left by car for Sydney and on a tour. WEDDINGS Honeysett - Shearman St. Mark's Church of England, Goolma, on Saturday, 26th September, the marriage was celebrated of Miss Nell Shearman, daughter of Mr. R. J. Shearman and the late Mrs. Shearman of "Nellen View," Goolma, and Mr. Richard Honeysett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herb. Honeysett, of Tallawang. Rev. L. V. Caldwell officiated. As the bride entered the church on the arm of Mr. W. J. Scifleet, of "Kia Ora," Binnaway, (brother-in-law), the congregation sang, "The Voice That Breathed O'er Eden." Mrs. W. V. Shearman presided at the organ. The bride wore an ankle length frock of white tree-bark crepe, trimmed with pin tucks and lace panels and sleeves. The dress clip and buckle, also the bride-groom's buttonhole spray, were sent by a cousin from England. She carried a very handsome bouquet of lilies, and wore a very beautiful embroidered tulle veil (lent by Mrs. Stanley Berry, of Sydney). The veil was held in place by a three-row coronet of orange blossoms. Mrs. Bob Yeo, of Merrygoen (cousin of bride), was matron of honor. She wore an ankle length frock of powder blue georgette with frilled godets, with picture hat to match, and carried a bouquet of blue lupins, tinted lilies, may and tulle. Miss Hazel Skinner, of Goolma (niece of bride), attended as bridesmaid dressed in an ankle length frock of dusty pink georgette with frilled godets. She wore a picture hat to match, and carried a bouquet of pink lupins, tinted lilies, may and tulle. Mr. Roy Stewart, of Goolma (cousin of bride), was best man, and Mr. Les Honeysett (brother of bridegroom) attended as groomsman. Little Valma Scifleet, of Binnaway, and Valerie Deveigne, of Goolma (nieces of bride), were trainbearers. They were attired in ankle-length frocks of colored frilled net, the former wearing pink and the latter blue. They each wore halos of pleated net and coronets of tiny flowers, and carried tiny gold baskets filled with pink and blue lupins, may and tulle. The church was tastefully decorated with stocks, Iceland poppies and sweet peas. The reception was held at the Goolma Hall. The catering was in the capable hands of Mrs. Boyd, of Gulgong. The bridal table was adorned with a handsome three-tier wedding cake made by Mr. Sweeney, of Gulgong. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a handsome handbag, while the bride's gift to the bridegroom was a set of initialled gold sleeve links. The bridesmaids received a chrome boudoir clock and the matron of honor a crystal necklet, while the tiny train-bearers each received a brush, comb and mirror set. The bridal party was driven by Mrs. C. R. Niven of Spring Ridge. The happy couple left by car for Sydney, where the honeymoon was spent. The bride travelled in a Wedgewood blue lemere frock, and hand embossed satin backed metalasse coat, hat and shoes to match. Their future home will be at Goolma. DEATH Mrs. H. G. Honeysett THE death occurred in the Gulgong District Hospital on Friday afternoon last, of Mrs. Annie Honeysett, wife of Mr. Herbert George Honeysett, of Tallawang, aged 61 years. Deceased was a native of Gunnedah, and was married at Tallawang. She had been ill for about 12 months, and had been a patient in the hospital since June 17 last. Deceased is survived by a widower and grown-up family. The funeral took place to the Church of England portion of the Gulgong Cemetery on Saturday afternoon, the Rev. L. V. Caldwell officiating. A well known and highly esteemed resident of Gulgong, in the person of Mr. Leslie James Honeysett, passed away in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, on Sunday last at the age of 55 years. The funeral took place yesterday to the Church of England portion of the Gulgong cemetery, Rev. J. Woodhouse officiating, and was followed by a Masonic service. DEATH Mr. L. J. Honeysett By the death recently of Mr. Leslie James Honeysett in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, the town has lost one of its estimable citizens. Deceased will be particularly missed by his many relatives, fellow workmen and members of the Bowling Club. Les. had a likeable nature and friends all over the district, in which he spent his working life. He was held in high esteem by people in all walks of life: “one of the best” aptly describes the people’s departed friend, Les. The late Mr. Honeysett, born at Tallawang 55 years ago, was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Honeysett, of Tallawang and married Miss Maud Stewart (daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. Stewart) at Goolma, the late Rev. L. V. Caldwell (Church of England) performing the ceremony and also later christening the two daughters, one, Shirley, passing away about 10 years ago. St. Luke’s Church was crowded for the service to the late Mr. Honeysett, prior to the funeral taking place to the Church of England portion of the Gulgong cemetery, Rev. John Woodhouse officiating. The oration in the church was given by Mr. J. H. Stahl as president of Gulgong Bowling Club. Bowling Club members acted as pall bearers and formed a guard of honour at the church and members of the Masonic Lodge, Wyaldra, acting as pall bearers at the graveside. A Masonic service was held in the local Temple. Deceased is survived by his wife and one daughter. Mrs. Lesley Bayliss, who has returned from 12 months service in Malaya.
