SERIOUSLY ILL We regret to hear that the health of Mrs. C. Frost (third eldest daughter of Mrs. J. Pateman, of Mudgee) is such as to cause her relatives extreme anxiety, and Mrs. Pateman and her daughter (Mrs. W. Gordon) purveyed to Sydney last week. Mrs. Frost is suffering From an internal complaint, and although the best medical men are attending the sufferer little hopes are held out for her recovery. DEATH OF MRS. CHARLES FROST. Only a few weeks back we regretted to hear of the rather severe illness of Mrs. Charles Frost, at Parramatta. On Saturday the sad intelligence reached Mudgee announcing the death, which occurred at her daughter's (Mrs. T. Williams). The deceased was the second daughter of Mrs. Jas. Pateman, of Church-street, Mudgee. Universal sympathy is extended to the relatives in their sad affliction. The body was interred at Parramatta today. Mudgee Guardian, Monday 12 August 1912, p. 3. A LARGE FAMILY. Mrs. Caroline Augusta Frost, mother of a number of young people known very well in social circles in Parramatta, passed away on Saturday at the age of 47 years. Mrs. Frost was a native of Mudgee, where she was married. She was the daughter of Mr. James Pateman, a business man of that old country town. An interesting fact in these days, more particularly when so much is heard as to the slow growth in number of the best immigrants' a young country can have, was the fact that Mrs. Frost was the mother of fifteen children, ten of whom are still living (four sons and six daughters).
