Obituary Vincent John Roy Papworth The death occurred of Vincent John Roy Papworth at Mudgee District Hospital on Tuesday. Mr. Papworth, 65, was a well known farmer and keen tennis player at Turill before retiring to Mudgee after he disposed of his property. He was a quiet man who spent most of his life on his property. Mr. Papworth had suffered from a heart complaint for a number of years. He is survived by his wife Winifred, daughter Priscilla (Mrs. Ryan of Binnaway) and son John of Mudgee. Round-A-Bout With Belle Following a service in St. John’s Church of England, Mudgee at 3.30pm on August 30, the funeral took place in the Mudgee Cemetery of Vincent John Papworth 65, late of Inglis Street, Mudgee. Mr. Papworth who had suffered from ill health for some years was a native of Murragamba, Ulan. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rad Papworth (Mr. Papworth senior was one of the last of the pioneer teamsters in that area). Vincent (or Vin as he was known) had spent most of his life in the Murragamba - Ulan and Turill areas. In recent years he sold his property near Turill and came to Mudgee to live in retirement. He is survived by his wife Winnie, who was the former Miss Winnie Smede a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Smede pioneers of the Murragamba-Derridgere area. Mr. Papworth is also survived by one daughter Priscilla (Mrs. Ryan) of Binnaway, one son John of Mudgee, together with a sister Phyllis and a ber Reg of St Mary’s. Round-A-Bout With Belle Following a service in St. John’s Church of England, Mudgee at 3.30pm on August 30, the funeral took place in the Mudgee Cemetery of Vincent John Papworth 65, late of Inglis Street, Mudgee.
