Death of a paternal grandmother | Katherine Kling 15 November 1906 (aged 21 years) Age: 78 Death of Mrs. Adam Roth, sen. Another old resident in the person of Mrs. Adam Roth, sen., passed away early this morning at her residence, Eurunderee, at the ripe age of 78 years. Mrs. Roth was a native of Germany, and for the past 48 years has resided in the State, practically the whole of that period having been spent at Eurunderee, where, many years ago, her husband, who predeceased her by some years, founded the famous Eurunderee vineyard and orchard. This splendid property still remains a monument to the industry and energy of the old folk now lying at rest. For some weeks past the deceased lady has been in failing health, and it was generally known that the end was at hand, so that when she succumbed at dawn this morning beneath her great burden of years the shock to her sorrowing family was not so keenly felt as it might have been had her end been unexpected. She leaves a family of six sons and one daughter, all of whom are married, and a number of grandchildren to mourn their loss, and to these our sympathy is extended. The funeral will leave Eurunderee to-morrow for the Mudgee cemetery. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 15 November 1906, p. 12. Katherine Roth Obituary Death. ROTH. - At the residence of her son, W. Roth, at Eurunderee, on the 15th November, 1906, KATHERINE (relict of the late Adam Roth, sen.) aged 78 years. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 22 November 1906, p. 12. Katherine Roth Death |

The late Mr. Stanford came from the Narrabri district, and settled at Pipeclay, many years ago. He married a daughter of the late Mr. Adam Roth, and his wife together with five children, survive him. Death of a brother | Cecil Albert Roth 3 November 1951 (aged 66 years) DEATH MR. C. A. ROTH All Mudgee was shocked on Saturday morning last when it became known that Mr. Cecil Albert Roth had died with tragic suddenness. He went to his place of business as usual, but had a seizure shortly afterwards, and the end came as stated. Deceased, who was 52 years of age, was a member of an old and respected Mudgee family, and most of his life was spent in this town. For a lengthy period he was associated with the staff of Mr. R. A. Roth, and in this capacity he gained the confidence of his employer and the trust and esteem of clients. He was one of the most active members of the Anglican faith, and served his church with marked distinction for many years. In his secretarial position he assisted greatly in making the annual Springtime Ball one of the notable events of the year. In other worthwhile affairs he was also active, and by his passing the district has lost a citizen whom it will be hard to replace. He is survived by a widow and three sons, viz: Neil (Newcastle), Geoffrey and Peter (Mudgee), and to the bereaved ones the sympathy of the whole countryside will be extended. Prior to the funeral on Sunday afternoon, Rev. Canon Powell conducted an impressive service in St. John's Church, which was filled by relatives and friends of the family. The Canon also officiated at the graveside. The arrangements were carried out by Messrs. Eastaugh and Carroll. Mudgee Guardian, Monday 5 November 1951, p. 1. Cecil Roth Obituary |
