Obituary. - John Collins, an old resident of Budgee, was found dead in bed on Tuesday morning. He had been ailing for some time and was under medical treatment. He was 89 years of age, a native of England, and came to Australia 70 years ago. He was married at Bathurst 60 years ago and has spent nearly the whole of that time in the Mudgee district. He was one of the fine old type of pioneers who worked hard, and was a man to his fellow men. His wife died about six years ago. The following family survives: Eliza Helmes; Emma Orth, Mudgee; Robert, James; Budgee; William; George, Mudgee; John, Sydney. There are 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Latest Local News Death Mrs. Emma Orth, an old and respected resident of Mudgee died in the local hospital on Friday last, aged 70 years. Deceased, whose husband died some 18 months ago, had been ailing for a considerable period. A family of sons and daughters are left to mourn, and to the sorrowing ones sincere sympathy is extended. The funeral took place to the Methodist portion of the general cemetery on Saturday, the Rev. R. N. Gledhill officiating. Messrs. J. C. Swords and Son carried out the arrangements.
