Note: IN MEMORIAM

IN MEMORIAM MENCHIN. - In loving memory of our dear daughter, Doris, who departed this life October 4th, 1921, aged 18 years. We were not there at the hour of death To hear your last faint sigh, Or whisper just one loving word, Or even say goodbye. But as we gaze on your photograph, Its likeness, so faithful and true. You do not know our hearts are breaking And longing, dear Doris, for you. Inserted by her loving father and mother, A. and E. Menchin, Wilbetree Flat.

IN MEMORIAM MENCHIN.- In loving memory of my dear sister, Doris, who departed this life October 4th, 1921, aged 18 years. Just four years ago, dear Doris, I stood beside your bed; My heart was crushed and broken When I saw that you were dead All that is left, dear Doris, Is to go and see your grave, For well I know in it is sleeping My dear sister God has taken home. Inserted by her loving sister, Ethel. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 8 October 1925, p. 24. Doris Menchin In memoriam
