Note: Death of Mrs. Adam Roth, sen.

Death of Mrs. Adam Roth, sen. Another old resident in the person of Mrs. Adam Roth, sen., passed away early this morning at her residence, Eurunderee, at the ripe age of 78 years. Mrs. Roth was a native of Germany, and for the past 48 years has resided in the State, practically the whole of that period having been spent at Eurunderee, where, many years ago, her husband, who predeceased her by some years, founded the famous Eurunderee vineyard and orchard. This splendid property still remains a monument to the industry and energy of the old folk now lying at rest. For some weeks past the deceased lady has been in failing health, and it was generally known that the end was at hand, so that when she succumbed at dawn this morning beneath her great burden of years the shock to her sorrowing family was not so keenly felt as it might have been had her end been unexpected. She leaves a family of six sons and one daughter, all of whom are married, and a number of grandchildren to mourn their loss, and to these our sympathy is extended. The funeral will leave Eurunderee to-morrow for the Mudgee cemetery. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 15 November 1906, p. 12. Katherine Roth Obituary

DEATHS Mrs. Louis Roth MRS. Eliza S. Roth, wife of Mr. Louis Roth, the well-known vigneron of "Gulmarra," Wilbetree, and the last member of the pioneering Bones family, of Eurunderee died in a Mudgee private hospital, on Tuesday afternoon, at the age of 72. Born at Mudgee, the late Mrs. Roth was one of the district's most highly respected ladies, and was one of the type which, by dint of untilting labor and the courage to face adversity, has made this district as famous and as wealthy as it is today. She was one who loved her home and family with an unfailing devotion, and was a wife and mother of the best type. A husband and the following sons and daughters survive: Ray, William and Carl, all of "Gulmarra," and Mesdames P. J. Neubeck (Linsdale), Clive Smith (Canadian Lead), Miss Doris ("Gulmarra"). The funeral took place yesterday afternoon, interment being made in the Church of England portion of the Mudgee Cemetery. Revs. L. C. S. Walker and L. V. Caldwell (Gulgong), conducted the service at the church, both making reference to Mrs. Roth's many fine qualities. The last rites at the graveside were conducted by Mr. Caldwell. The funeral, which was very well attended, was in the hands of Messrs. J. C. Swords and Son. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 28 November 1935, p. 7. Obituary Eliza Sarah Roth

DEATH Mr. L. Roth Mr. Louis Roth, of Gullamara, one of the oldest residents of the district, died in the Mudgee Hospital on Monday last at the advanced age of 85 years. A member of a sturdy pioneering family, deceased established a splendid orchard and vineyard at Gullamara, very many years ago, and also entered extensively into the wine-making business. Industrious to a degree, he gradually acquired other valuable property, and added grazing to his many activities. In this, too, he was successful, and his sheep ranged over wide acres. Altogether the late Louis Roth was a man of sterling character, and the district will be the poorer for his passing. He is survived by the following sons and daughters, to whom deep sympathy is extended: Ray, Carl, Wilfred, Mesdames Neubeck ('Wang), Smith (Ashfield), and B. Hardy (Mudgee). The funeral took place on Tuesday after an impressive service in St. John's Church by the Rev. Canon Powell, who also officiated at the graveside. Messrs J. C. Swords and Son conducted the arrangements. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 10 November 1949, p. 12. Louis Roth Obituary
