Marriage of a child | William George Cox — May Harriett Carr — View this family 5 January 1910 Wedding at Wilpinjong COX - CARR. At the Wilpinjong Church of England on Wednesday, 5th instant, the marriage of William George, son of the late Arthur Cox, of Mudgee, to May Harriet, daughter of Mr. Thomas Carr, of Wilpinjong, was celebrated by the Rev. E. S. Benyon. The church was neatly decorated by the friends and sister of the bride - the Misses Maud and Ivy Robinson and Ethel Carr. At the appointed time the little church was crowded, and some of the well-wishers were unable to gain admittance. The bride, who entered the church on her father's arm, was prettily attired in white embroidered muslin. She wore the orthodox veil and coronet of orange blossoms, also a gold brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. She carried a bouquet of white flowers and maiden-hair ferns. The bridesmaid was Miss M. C. Carr the bride's sister, who wore a white embroidered muslin dress, pink veil and flowers, and a gold wishbone brooch, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried a bouquet of pink flowers and maiden hair ferns. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. A. E Cox. As the young couple left the church they were showered with rice and confetti. About 100 guests sat down to the wedding breakfast, which was held at the residence of the bride's parents. Following is a list of the presents: Mr. and Mrs. T. Carr (bride's parents) - Set carvers. Death of a wife | Letitia Bailey 20 April 1943 DEATH Mrs. Letitia Carr The death occurred at her home at Hillside, Mudgee, on Tuesday last of Mrs. Letitia Carr at the advanced age of 84 years. Her husband predeceased her by about six years. Deceased resided in the district for a very lengthy period, and in that locality she was held in high regard. She was a kindly hospitable soul and never tired of doing what she could to help anyone in distress. Among those left to mourn are Mrs. W. Cox and Miss Letitia Carr, of Mudgee, and they, together with other sorrowing members of the family, will have the deepest sympathy of all in their sad bereavement. The funeral took place to the Church of England portion of the general cemetery on Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. A. G. Powell performing the last sad rites at the graveside. Messrs. J. C. He is survived by a widow and the following family: Mr. Lionel Carr, Mesdames W. White and D. Cox, and Miss Alice Carr. The funeral took place to the Church of England portion of the Mudgee cemetery on Tuesday last, Rev. Canon Powell officiating. Messrs. Eastaugh and Carroll had charge of the arrangements.
