Marriage | May Harriett Carr — View this family 5 January 1910 Wedding at Wilpinjong COX - CARR. At the Wilpinjong Church of England on Wednesday, 5th instant, the marriage of William George, son of the late Arthur Cox, of Mudgee, to May Harriet, daughter of Mr. Thomas Carr, of Wilpinjong, was celebrated by the Rev. E. S. Benyon. The church was neatly decorated by the friends and sister of the bride - the Misses Maud and Ivy Robinson and Ethel Carr. At the appointed time the little church was crowded, and some of the well-wishers were unable to gain admittance. The bride, who entered the church on her father's arm, was prettily attired in white embroidered muslin. She wore the orthodox veil and coronet of orange blossoms, also a gold brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. She carried a bouquet of white flowers and maiden-hair ferns. The bridesmaid was Miss M. C. Carr the bride's sister, who wore a white embroidered muslin dress, pink veil and flowers, and a gold wishbone brooch, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried a bouquet of pink flowers and maiden hair ferns. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. A. E Cox. As the young couple left the church they were showered with rice and confetti. About 100 guests sat down to the wedding breakfast, which was held at the residence of the bride's parents. Following is a list of the presents: Mr. and Mrs. T. Carr (bride's parents) - Set carvers. COX The death occurred at the Mudgee District Hospital yesterday of a very well known district resident, William George Cox, of 109 Horatio Street. Deceased, aged 81 years, was born and bred in Mudgee and was a brother of Percy Cox, an alderman on the Mudgee Municipal Council. He leaves a wife and two sons, Arthur Thomas and Dudley William. The funeral will take place from St. John’s Church of England tomorrow, August 4. Messrs. Eastaugh and Carroll, funeral directors, have charge of the arrangements.
