WEDDING Dunn - Grimshaw A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised recently by the Rev. Halliday at Holy Trinity Church of England, Orange, between Doreen Angella, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Dunn, Springside, Orange, and Leslie Charles, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Grimshaw, Valley Apiary, Glen Alice. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father. She looked charming in a frock of magnolia satin, cut on classical lines, with sweeping train. She also wore a cut tulle veil and carried a shower bouquet of winter roses and carnations. Miss Rita Piper, friend of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and was flocked in sky blue satin, with matching headdress of tulle and flowers. She carried a fanshaped bouquet of flowers to tone. Mr. John Grimshaw, ber of the groom, carried out the duties of best man. During the signing of the register Miss Pat Smith sang "I'll Walk Beside You." The reception was held at Bestyette Cafe, Orange, where the guests were received by the mothers of the bride and bridegroom. The bride travelled in a frock of forest green, with brown accessories (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Monday 21 September 1942, page 6).
