Death | 14 January 1938 (aged 78 years) OBITUARY Mrs. E. Sampson The passing on Friday morning 14th inst., of Mrs. Ernie Sampson, at her residence, Mudgee-street, after a short illness removes yet another old pioneer of the Rylstone district, at the age of 76 years. Deceased was a well-known member of the Robbins family, and had been married to Mr. Sampson just on 56 years. Always to the fore in assisting neighbors in times of stress and illness, this grand old lady will be much missed from among her large circle of friends. Besides the husband, a large family of sons and daughters are left to mourn. The remains were laid to rest in the C. of E. portion of the Rylstone cemetery. The Rev. Richards officiated at the graveside. Children of the deceased are: - Selwyn, Ray, Gordon, Cecil (Rylstone), Garry (Junee), George (deceased), Mrs. H. McLean (Surry Hills), Mrs. R. Wessell (Camperdown), Mrs. J. McLean (Forbes). Two daughters, Mrs. Whitby and Mrs. R. Dunn, predeceased the mother. |
