He had spent his life in Mudgee where he was born 80 years ago. He was a home loving, family man, a good kind husband, father and grandfather. He had an interest in sport and had been a life member of the Mudgee Rifle Club, in more recent years he was a keen bowls player. Darcy will be sadly missed by his wife Nancy, daughter Jan (Mrs. Pirie), sons Norm and Dennis, his grandchildren, relatives and many friends. The private family funeral, which took place in the Mudgee Cemetery on March 17 was followed in the afternoon by a widely attended service held in St. John’s Anglican Church, Mudgee which was filled by those paying their last respects.
