(From our Correspondent.) Deaths - The passing away of Mr. Abel White is to be recorded. A resident of the district for 50 years, he has watched the growth of Rylstone from its earliest days. He resided at Rockville for a great number of years, prior to selling it to Mr. George McQuiggan. Latterly he has resided at Olinda, and the last two years of his life was spent at 'Wang. He was a brother of Mrs. Thomas Clarke of Mudgee, Mrs. J. W. Hardwick of Rylstone, Mrs. Wilmott, and the late Mrs. Thomas Nevell. A brother of his, Mr. Jethro White of Coonabarabran, died some years ago. He leaves a large family behind him. Four sons - George, Hedley, William, and Oscar, and eight daughters - Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Willis, Mrs. Rohl, Mrs. Harris, Mrs. Palotte, Mrs. Allanson; all living except another who died in W.A.

Mrs Ada Taylor BRIEF mention of the death of Mrs Ada Taylor, widow of the late Thomas Taylor, in the "Herald' during the week, recalls memories to many old Rylstone residents. Mrs Taylor was a daughter of the late Abel White, former original owner of "Rockville" station, now owned by Mr G. A. McQuiggin. and married Mr Thos. Taylor, who conducted a black-smith's business in Rylstone for many years, in partnership with Mr G. H. Johnstone. Mrs Taylor was a sister of Mrs Willis, Mudgee street, Rylstone (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Monday 25 September 1933, page 6).

Death Notice: Eric Andrew Dunn The death of Mr. Eric Andrew Dunn, a former Rylstone resident occurred in the Bodington Red Cross Hospital (Wentworth Falls) on April 8. Mr. Dunn, formerly of "White Rocks", was 64 years of age. His interment took place in the Rylstone Cemetery the following day, after a service in the St. James Church of England at 3p.m. Macquarie Valley Funerals were in charge of the arrangements. Obituary: Eric Andrew Dunn The death occurred on April 8, of Mr. Eric Andrew Dunn at Bodington Red Cross Hospital, where he had been a patient for some time. Mr. Dunn lived for many years at "White Rock", a well known Rylstone district property which he owned in partnership with his ber Douglas. Mr. Reginald Dunn now owns the property. Eric was the son of the late Mr. Athelstone Dunn and Mrs. Emily Dunn, now living in Rylstone. Besides his mother, he leaves in addition to the two bers mentioned, four sisters Marjorie Ella (Mrs. Boge), Norma, Edna (Mrs. Bates) and Lloyd. Mrs. Dunn was 88 years af age and was the widow of the late Athol Dunn, formerly of "Marlyn", Bogee. She is survived by seven of her ten children - two of her sons having died during active service in the Second World War. The funeral at St. James' Church of England, Rylstone was followed by interment in the Rylstone Cemetery. Rylstone Shire Advertiser Thursday 25 June 1970
