Deceased was known right throughout the district, and on all sides he was held in the highest regard. He is survived by a widow and family of eleven sons and daughters, to whom the deepest sympathy is extended. DUNN The death occurred. at her residence, Kingston Villa, Rylstone, on Monday, June 21, of Mrs. Effie Dunn, widow of the late Andrew Dunn, at the age of 88 years. Deceased, who was an early pioneer of the Rylstone district and one of its best known residents, was the mother of Mrs. R. I. Penman, of 117 Bradley Street, Goulburn. She liad been in failing health for some time and death was not unexpected. She is survived by a family of eleven. The funeral took place at the Rylstone Church of England Cemetery on Tuesday last (Goulburn Evening Post, Monday 28 June 1943, page 3). Mr. Dunn, formerly of "White Rocks", was 64 years of age. His interment took place in the Rylstone Cemetery the following day, after a service in the St. James Church of England at 3p.m. Macquarie Valley Funerals were in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Dunn lived for many years at "White Rock", a well known Rylstone district property which he owned in partnership with his ber Douglas. Mr. Reginald Dunn now owns the property. Eric was the son of the late Mr. Athelstone Dunn and Mrs. Emily Dunn, now living in Rylstone. Besides his mother, he leaves in addition to the two bers mentioned, four sisters Marjorie Ella (Mrs. Boge), Norma, Edna (Mrs. Bates) and Lloyd. She is survived by seven of her ten children - two of her sons having died during active service in the Second World War. She was buried beside her late husband in the Rylstone Cemetery last Friday. The late Mr. and Mrs. Dunn reared 10 children - six boys and four girls. All the girls trained as nurses and two of them still pursue their calling. Two are married. Two of the boys died in World War 2. Two returned safely.
