The death occurred at Rylstone on Friday morning of Mrs. McAndrew, senr., of Glen Alice. Deceased was 79 years of age (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative (New South Wales : 1890 - 1954), Thursday 9 August 1906, page 16).

LITHGOW, Monday A report, from Capertee states that a serious accident befell E. McAndrews ,(son of Mr. and Mrs. John McAndrews, of Glen Alice. The boy was riding, and it is supposed that the horse threw him, and that his, foot caught in the stirrup. He was probably dragged some distance. When found he was unconscious. He was taken to the Rylstone District Hospital suffering from injuries, from which he died on Friday. (Sydney Morning Herald, Tuesday 7 April 1925, page 12).
