DEATH MR. WALTER MOSS A former resident of Gulgong, in the person of Mr. Walter Moss (father of Mrs. C. F. A. Davis, of Birriwa), passed away on Saturday morning last at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Newby. Deceased had attained the great age of 87 years, and prior to going to Wellington had resided in Gulgong for a number of years. His wife predeceased him many years ago. A grown-up family survive him. The remains were encased in a polished maple casket, and were brought to Gulgong on Sunday and in the afternoon were laid to rest in the Church of England portion of the Gulgong cemetery, the services being read by the Rev. L. V. Caldwell. Our sympathy is extended (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 3 November 1932, page 12).

OBITUARY. MR. WALTER MOSS. There passed away at 7 o'clock on Saturday morning, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Newby, a familiar and well-known figure in Wellington, in the person of Mr. Walter Moss, who had attained the great age of 87 years. Although he had not been in the best of health for some time, he was only confined to his bed for one day before his death which was due to senility, and he passed away very quietly and peacefully after a life that had been full of energy. The late Mr. Moss was well-known in this town, and he did his daily walk to and fro from his home, and in the warm summer months he was a constant visitor to the bowling green, and though he was not an active player, he enjoyed watching the members at play. He came to Wellington from Gulgong, where he had resided for a number of years, and had been living with his daughter for a very long while. His wife predeceased him many years ago. A grown up family survive him. The remains were encased in a polished maple casket, and were taken to Gulgong yesterday, and in the afternoon were laid to rest in the Church of England portion of the Gulgong cemetery, the services being read by the Rev. Mr. Caldwell. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. C. J. Shakespeare (Wellington Times, Monday 31 October 1932, page 2).

MINER'S DEATH. MR. William Moss, a well known Kandos resident, who was employed at the Kandos Coomber Colliery at Charbon, died after a short illness on Tuesday. Deceased was 61 years of age and was a native of Rylstone. He resided in Bent Street, Kandos, for some years. He leaves a widow and family of five to mourn (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 3 September 1936, page 8).

OBITUARY MRS. MAUDE MOSS The death has occurred at Kandos of Mrs. Maude Moss, relict of the late William Moss, who pre- deceased her by eight years. Deceased, who was 63 years of age, was a native of Wellington, being the third eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Robinson, whose sons and daughters numbered fifteen. The late Mrs. Moss is survived by a family of three sons and two daughters, the former being William (Kandos), Thomas (Sydney) and Claude (Kandos). The daughters are (Monnie (Mrs. R. Pearson, of Melbourne), and Elizabeth (Mrs. W. Windle, Kandos). The interment took place in the Rylstone General Cemetery, where the Rev. Father Ring, of Kandos, officiated (Wellington Times, Monday 17 April 1944, page 4).

Obituary Notice Claude James Moss The death occurred of Claude James Moss in Rylstone District Hospital on Wednesday, May 26, at the age of 53 years. Mr. Moss was born in Bodangora and had resided in Kandos for fifty years, where he led a quiet and unassuming life. He was an employee at Standard Portland Cement Company, Charbon, for twenty seven years. The esteem in which he was held was evident by the large cortege which moved to the Rylstone Cemetery, after a service in St. Dominic's Catholic Church, at which Father Stanley officiated.
