(From our Correspondent.) Deaths - The passing away of Mr. Abel White is to be recorded. A resident of the district for 50 years, he has watched the growth of Rylstone from its earliest days. He resided at Rockville for a great number of years, prior to selling it to Mr. George McQuiggan. Latterly he has resided at Olinda, and the last two years of his life was spent at 'Wang. He was a brother of Mrs. Thomas Clarke of Mudgee, Mrs. J. W. Hardwick of Rylstone, Mrs. Wilmott, and the late Mrs. Thomas Nevell. A brother of his, Mr. Jethro White of Coonabarabran, died some years ago. He leaves a large family behind him. Four sons - George, Hedley, William, and Oscar, and eight daughters - Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Willis, Mrs. Rohl, Mrs. Harris, Mrs. Palotte, Mrs. Allanson; all living except another who died in W.A.

Deaths Mr. C. E. B. Willis Residents of Rylstone were sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Colin Earl Bishop Willis, of Rylstone, at the age of 62 years, in Rylstone District Hospital on Tuesday of last week. Deceased had been an employee of Kandos Cement Works for many years, but had been ailing for some time. He had been an active member of the Church of England and held office as Deacon for many years. He was predeceased by his wife by two years, and leaves a daughter, Colleen, and two sons, Harry, of Sydney, and Neville, of Hawkesbury, to whom deepest sympathy is extended. After a service at Rylstone Church of England at 2.30 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, by Padre H. Thorpe, the funeral moved to the Church of England portion of Rylstone cemetery where arrangements were carried out by Mr. Norm Brown, of Rylstone. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 13 July 1961, p. 16.
