Death of a father | Charles Griffith Perram 1 October 1915 (aged 29 years) Obituary Death. Mr. C. G. Perram. Death has claimed another of our well-known and highly-respected district residents, in the person of Mr. Charles Griffith Perram, after a brief illness arising from the bursting of a blood vessel in the head. The deceased was 71 years of age. He was a native of Rylstone, whither his parents came to reside amongst the early settlers. He was a man of fine physique and robust constitution. Except for the few years spent in Queensland when a young man, the deceased had resided in the district all his life, and was much respected. His wife survives, and with her family of six sons and three daughters mourn the great loss of an exemplary husband and father. The daughters are Mrs. H. Sheppard (Cudgegong), Mrs. R. J. Doherty (Queanbeyan), and Miss Perram (of the Public Instruction service). The sons are Messrs. J. C. Perram (Balmoral, near Stony Pinch), R. H. Perram (Dunedoo), D. J. Perram (Randwick, and the younger brothers, V. A., and Carl, residing with their mother. The sixth son is Corporal Thomas Malcolm Perram, of the Public Instruction Department, who recently enlisted for the front. The funeral took place on Sunday last in the Anglican portion of the Cudgegong cemetery, where, too, lie the remains of the father and mother, and other members of the original family.
