RUNNING STREAM (From Our Representative) DEATH An old and highly respected resident of Weenga, Albert Freestone, died on Saturday in Rylstone Hospital at the age of 69. He only took ill on Friday and passed away on Saturday evening. To the surviving widow and daughter (Mrs. W. Chadwick, Running Stream) and two small granddaughters our sympathy is extended. The late Mr. Freestone had spent his whole life in the district very quietly, helping when help was needed, and doing good in his own quiet way. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon after a service in the Church of England, Kandos, by the Rev. E. E. Hawkey. Many old friends stood at the graveside to bid a silent farewell to their old comrade. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 27 May 1943, p. 3. Obituary Henry Albert Freestone
