Capertee. Death of an Old Resident Mr. John Tindall. Death of Mr. John Tindall. - The death of Mr. John Tindall, a very old and respected resident of this district took place on Sunday night, January 6, after a lingering illness. The cause of death is senile decay. The deceased, who was nearly 71 years of age, was born in the Colo district, but had resided in this locality nearly all his life. He is survived by a widow, seven sons - Messrs. Nathan, Arthur, George, Alfred, Walter, Ernest and Edward Tindall - and six daughters. Mesdames J. Quelch, A. Gannon, Illingswood, and the Misses Emily and Lucy Tindall. For the bereaved ones the greatest sympathy is felt. The late Mr. Tindall took a considerable interest in horseflesh, and was always proud of the fact that he was the breeder of Dargan's Grey, a noted buckjumper that performed in most of the leading shows in Australia. The funeral was largely attended, the remains being interred in the Church of England portion of the local cemetery. The last sad rites were performed by the Rev. A. D. Brownhead. The funeral arrangements were in the hands of Mr. J. Simpson, of Portland (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Monday 14 January 1918, p. 1)
