CAPERTEE DEATH OF AN OLD RESIDENT. (From our own Correspondent) An old and respected resident of this district, in the person of Mrs Henry Freestone, of Kangaroo Flat, died on Saturday night last aged 82. The cause of death was apoplexy. Dr. F. Wendler was called in on Saturday evening, but she was too far gone for medical skill to be of any avail, and gradually sank, and passed away about midnight. She leaves behind a husband and large grown up family to mourn their loss, and for whom the deepest sympathy is felt. The deceased, with her husband, came to this locality over forty years ago. The funeral took place at 2 p.m. on Monday, and the remains were interred in the Capertee cemetery (Lithgow Mercury, Friday 3 March 1905, p. 3).

Death of Mr. John Tindall. - The death of Mr. John Tindall, a very old and respected resident of this district took place on Sunday night, January 6, after a lingering illness. The cause of death is senile decay. The deceased, who was nearly 71 years of age, was born in the Colo district, but had resided in this locality nearly all his life. He is survived by a widow, seven sons - Messrs. Nathan, Arthur, George, Alfred, Walter, Ernest and Edward Tindall - and six daughters. Mesdames J. Quelch, A. Gannon, Illingswood, and the Misses Emily and Lucy Tindall. For the bereaved ones the greatest sympathy is felt. The late Mr. Tindall took a considerable interest in horseflesh, and was always proud of the fact that he was the breeder of Dargan's Grey, a noted buckjumper that performed in most of the leading shows in Australia. The funeral was largely attended, the remains being interred in the Church of England portion of the local cemetery. The last sad rites were performed by the Rev. A. D. Brownhead.
