Death of a brother | William Henry Bayliss 27 February 1934 (aged 60 years) DEATH MR. William Henry Bayliss died on Tuesday morning last at his home, Breakfast Creek, aged 58. Deceased had been ailing with an internal complaint for a long time. He was the son of the late Thomas Camp Bayliss and Anne Bayliss. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 1 March 1934, p. 9. Death William Bayliss DEATH AS reported in Thursday's "Guardian," Mr. William Henry Bayliss passed away at his home, Breakfast Creek, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday after several weeks' illness. Deceased had resided in this district practically all his life, being at one time employed at "Rawden" station, and married a Miss O'Reilly from Blayney. To the union three daughters were born, all of whom are now married. The eldest daughter, Mrs. O'Brien, resides at Moss Vale, and the others, Mrs. Andrews and Mrs. McGarrigill, live in the suburbs. "Billy," as deceased was affectionately known throughout the district, was one of a family of 14 children, seven of whom are still living, comprising Messrs. Ted, Herb, Walter, Alf and Syd Bayliss, Miss Lena Bayliss and Mrs. M. McDonald. Crippled from infancy, "Billy" was a remarkably active man and a great worker, for, in addition to taking all sorts of contract bush work, etc., he was a very skilful drover during the latter few years of his life. After a brief service in the Church of England, the remains were interred in the Church of England portion of the Rylstone cemetery. A large attendance of mourners from practically every part of the district was present, and many beautiful floral tokens bore eloquent testimony to the respect in which deceased and the family were held. Rev. G. R. Mathers conducted the services, and the funeral arrangements were in the hands of Mr. J. B. Simpkins. We offer our sincere sympathy to the widow and family in their hour of sorrow.
