Obituary MR. JOHN NIPPERESS One of the most respected and well known identities of the Lue district, Mr. John Nipperess, passed away, on November 17. The late Mr. Nipperess who was 63 years of age, had lived in the district for over 60 years, having arrived with his parents when three years of age. The greater part of his life was spent working on the Havilah and Lue estates. His death came unexpected and was a great shock to all, the cause being a stroke. A widow and the following sons and daughters are left to mourn their great loss: - Charlie (Thirroul), Allen (North Coast), Frank, Leslie, Reginald, Oswald and Andrew (Lue), Mrs R. Minchen (Wilbetree), Mrs. Graham (Sydney) and Mrs. P. Cook (Lue) The Rev. Douglas (Kandos) officiated at the graveside and Mr. W. B. MEN AND WOMEN A very sad death occurred at Lue, when Mr. Reg. H. Nipperess, a young man of 33 years of age, succumbed to an attack of double pneumonia. The deceased was very well known and highly esteemed, and had for some considerable time been working on Mr. Combes station. The news of his death was received with regret by a very large circle of friends (Wellington Times, Monday 29 August 1932, page 4).

OBITUARY REGINALD HAROLD NIPPERESS A very sad death occurred at Lue on Tuesday, when Mr. Reg. H. Nipperess, a young man of 33 years of age succumbed to an attack of double pneumonia. The deceased was very well known and highly respected and has for some time been working on Mr Combes' station. The news of his death was received with regret by a very large circle of friends. The deceased leaves a wife and three children, the eldest of whom is six years, and the youngest eight months. The greatest sympathy was expressed by the towns-people for the widow in her sad bereavement. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon, the remains being interred in the Church of England portion of the Lue cemetery. There was a very large funeral procession, testifying to the esteem in which the deceased gentleman was held. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. H. J. Dobb, of Mudgee, and the arrangements were in the hands of Mr. J. C. Swords (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 18 August 1932, page 3).

Obituary Mrs. Nipperess The death occurred of Mrs. Mary Jane Nipperess, of Lue on Sunday February 9, aged 91. She was a patient of the Carlton Private Hospital, Dulwich Hill. She was born at Bylong, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Smith who had a store there. Her husband, the late John Nipperess, predeceased her by 34 years. Mrs. Nipperess was the mother of 12 children, six of whom are still living. They are Charles (Thirroul), Andrew and Frank (Lue), Ossie (Mudgee), daughters Lila (Wilbertree), Vera (Dulwich Hill), and Thelma. She has 65 grandchildren and 100 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. The funeral took place at Lue on Tuesday for the Church of England portion of the Lue Cemetery. Messrs. Obituary Notice Kenneth Ray Cooke died suddenly at Marrickville Hospital on May 13. He was born in Lue and spent all his boyhood days with his mother and father (the late Percival ). He married and lived in Mudgee for several years before going to Sydney to live. Obituary Lila Menchin The death occurred at Pioneer House on February 13 of Mrs. Lila Menchin, 82, widow of the late Mr. Reg Menchin Senior, who predeceased her ten years ago. Mrs. Menchin is survived by her family of nine children, twenty two grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was born at Lue in 1895 and was the eldest daughter of the late John and Mary Nippress. She had eight bers and three sisters. One ber and two sisters survive her. Mrs. Menchin and her husband lived on the family farm at Wilbertree for fifty years. After the death of her husband in 1967, she moved to her home in Gladstone Street, Mudgee. Owing to ill health, she spent six and a half years at Pioneer House, until her death. She was a kindly woman and her family was her life. Mrs. Menchin was loved and respected by all who knew her.
