Death of a brother | George Nash September 1933 (aged 59 years) MR. G. NASH. KATOOMBA, Friday. The death has occurred at Katoomba of Mr. George Nash, at the age of 68 years. Before Mr. Nash came to Katoomba 16 years ago, he was in business at Berry. He was associated with St. Hilda's Church of England, Katoomba, where he was rector's warden until failing health compelled him to resign. Mr. Nash is survived by his wife, two daughters, and two sons (Sydney Morning Herald, Saturday 23 September 1933, page 19). |

Death of a brother | Edwin Henry Nash 14 October 1938 (aged 64 years) OBITUARY. MR. E. H. NASH. The death occurred on Friday morning, at Sydney, of Mr. Edwin Henry Nash, of Chapel Road, Vaucluse, who was for many years well known in the Rylstone district. The late Mr. Nash, who had been ill for eight weeks, was aged 74. He was born at Richmond a son of James Nash, and started in business in Rylstone about 50 years ago. He married Miss Clara Batten, of Rylstone and was closely associated with the amateur sporting activities of the town and district, particularly with the cricket and golf clubs. About 15 years ago Mr. Nash retired from business and, with Mrs. Nash and their family, went to live at Vaucluse, where Mrs. Nash died 10 years ago. Latterly Mr. Nash was associated with the Rose Bay Bowling Club. Three daughters Mrs. W. H. McKay and Mrs. R. J. H. Ward, of Vaucluse, and Sister Mary Carmel survive. The funeral took place on Saturday to the Roman Catholic portion of th e South Head Cemetery, after a Requiem Mass at the Star of the Sea Church, Watson's Bay (Sydney Morning Herald, 18 October 1938 p. 3). |
