Death of a brother | John Nipperess 18 November 1930 Obituary MR. JOHN NIPPERESS One of the most respected and well known identities of the Lue district, Mr. John Nipperess, passed away, on November 17. The late Mr. Nipperess who was 63 years of age, had lived in the district for over 60 years, having arrived with his parents when three years of age. The greater part of his life was spent working on the Havilah and Lue estates. His death came unexpected and was a great shock to all, the cause being a stroke. A widow and the following sons and daughters are left to mourn their great loss: - Charlie (Thirroul), Allen (North Coast), Frank, Leslie, Reginald, Oswald and Andrew (Lue), Mrs R. Minchen (Wilbetree), Mrs. Graham (Sydney) and Mrs. P. Cook (Lue) The Rev. Douglas (Kandos) officiated at the graveside and Mr. W. B. Simpkins carried out the funeral arrangements (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 4 December 1930, page 7).
