Death of a father | David Brown 25 December 1920 (aged 43 years) CAPERTEE. The death occurred at Running Stream last week of Mr. David Brown, a very old and respected resident of the district, at the age of 74. The deceased has left a widow and the following family of grown up sons and daughters: - Mesdames Walter Leighton and J. McKander, and Messrs. Robert, William, Theodore and Herbert Brown. Death of a mother | Matilda Fletcher 17 January 1929 (aged 52 years) DEATH OF MRS BROWN Mrs Brown, widow of the late Mr David Brown, died at Mt. Vincent, Running Stream, on Thursday last, aged 81 years. With her husband, who died nine years ago, she resided in that district for over 30 years, and was beloved by all with whom she came in contact. She is survived by the following sons and daughters: - Robert, Herbert, William Theodore (Mt. Vincent), and Mrs W. Leighton (Rylstone), and Mrs Mackander (Mt. Vincent). To the bereaved relatives the deepest sympathy is extended. The funeral, which was very largely attended, took place to the Church of England portion of the Running Stream cemetery on Friday the Rev. R. Douglas officiating a the graveside. Among the mourners were Mrs J. McCully (sister, Sydney) and Messrs W. McCully (Mudgee) and G. Callan (Guntawang), nephews of deceased. M. Leighton The death occurred last Monday in the Rylstone Hospital of Mrs. Amy Maria Leighton. Deceased was born at Running Stream 81 years ago, and was a member of the well known Brown family of that centre. She is survived by her husband, Walter, three daughters, Eileen (Mrs. P. Banks, Campsie), Linda (Mrs. H. Morgan, Kandos) and Doris (Mrs. F. Slapp, Kandos), two bers, Robert Brown, (Bylong) and William Brown (Running Stream), thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. To the bereaved deep sympathy is extended. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon following a service at the Church of England, Running Stream, and proceeded to the cemetery at that centre, Father McCartney officiating. Death | 29 June 1961 (aged 84 years) Obituary: Mr. R. D. BROWN The death occurred on Wednesday, June 21, in Rylstone District Hospital of Robert David Brown of Bylong, at the age of 84. Deceased, who lived alone, had tried to reach his neighbour some nights prior to his death. It is understood that his clothing caught in the fence and he was exposed to the weather all night. He is survived by one brother, of Glen Davis. The funeral took place at 3pm, on Friday, June 23, to the Presbyterian portion of Rylstone Cemetery.
