ANDREW MORRISON As briefly reported in our last issue, the death occurred in a Sydney hospital on Thursday last of Andrew Morrison, a very old and respected resident of Rylstone district. Deceased, who was 78 years of age, went to Sydney about three weeks ago to seek expert medical advice and treatment. He followed the occupation of farmer and grazier, and had a nice little property on the Olinda road, near Rylstone. His wife predeceased him some years ago. He is survived by the following sons and daughter: Percy (Merriwa), Herbert ( Brogan's Creek), Stanley (Cox's Creek), Cecil (Olinda Road, Rylstone), and Mrs. Norman Dunn (Rylstone district). The body was taken to Rylstone and the funeral took place on Friday to the Church of England portion of the cemetery, the Rev. J. Richards officiating at the graveside. The funeral was largely attended (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 5 February 1931, page 6).

LITHGOW DEATH MRS. E. M. MORRISON The death took place at her residence in Hayley street yesterday afternoon of Mrs. Elizabeth Mary Morrison. at the age of 55 years. Deceased is survived by her husband, Mr. Herbert Morrison, also a family of seven sons and two daughters, to whom will be extended deepest sympathy. They are Messrs. Dudley (R.A.A.F.), Keith (A.I.F.), Earle, Colin, John, Lindsay and Roy, all of Lithgow, also, Mildred, of Sydney, and Betty (Lithgow). Born at Rylstone, the late Mrs. Morrison resided in that district practically all her life until coming to Lithgow nearly five years ago. In that time she made many friends, and her death will be sincerely regretted. Her health had been indifferent for the past three years, but she had been confined to her bed for only a week. The remains will be entrained for Kandos, burial to be made in the Catholic portion of Rylstone cemetery tomorrow afternoon. Messrs. Matthews and Lemon are in charge of the arrangements, in conjunction with Mr. J. B. Simpkins, of Kandos (Lithgow Mercury, Thursday 3 August 1944, page 2).

Obituary Notice Mr. H. J. Morrison A former Rylstone shearer and grazier, Mr. Herbert James Morrison, passed away in Lithgow District Hospital last Tuesday night at the age of 83. Mr. Morrison had been in ill-health for several months, but had only been in hospital for a week. Born in Rylstone, he lived in the district until five years ago, becoming known as a leading shearer and grazier. He then moved to Lithgow, and at the time of his death was residing at 46 Hayley Street. His wife, Elizabeth predeceased him by 20 years. He is survived by: Sons Dudley (Tweed Road), Bob (Hayley Street), Colin (Portland), Keith (Sydney), John (Clandulla), Lindsay (Hayley Street) and Roy (Capertee); daughter Mildred (Mrs. V. Walsh, Matraville); 19 grandchildren , and two bers, Percy (Wellington) and Cecil (Sydney), to whom sympathy is extended.
