Note: DEATH OF MR . ALF. ROBBINS.

DEATH OF MR . ALF. ROBBINS. Word came to Rylstone on Saturday night that Mr. Alf. Robbins, second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Robbins, had died from the wounds he received. The sad news has caused much regret. The deceased soldier was a brave, fearless fellow, who, like many thousands of our brave lads, have given up their lives for their country. He had been through the Boer war, and when the present conflict broke out he was amongst the first to volunteer. He is the first district soldier that has been killed in the present war (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 24 June 1915, page 25).
