CART AND LORRY COLLIDE. ON the Lue Road today a village cart collided with a passing lorry bringing wood to Mudgee, and driven by Mr. A. W. Menchin. The occupants of the cart, Messrs. A. J. Blattman and Geo. Mansfield, were thrown out. Mr. Mansfield sustained abrasions to the face and hands, and shock, while Mr. Blattman escaped injury. Obituaries Michael Paul Menchin died as a result of a car accident near Mt. Ossa via Mackay Queensland on August 19, 1975 at the age of 21 years. Michael was an Army Private stationed at Lavarack Barracks, Townsville, Queensland at the time of his death. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Menchin who before moving to Moree several years ago, lived with their children at Lue. Michael is survived by his parents, sisters Iris, Carmel, Sharron and Sonia, and bers Ivan, Bob and Kim. A military funeral was held on Tuesday, August 26 1975 at St. Luke’s Church of England, Lue and the burial took place in the Lue cemetery. An Army Chaplin conducted the service.
