Death of a brother | James Frederick Mills 1947 (aged 73 years) INQUEST An inquiry was held on Tuesday of last week, at the Court House, Rylstone, concerning the death of the late James Frederick Mills. After hearing evidence the coroner (Mr. E. J. McQuiggin) returned a verdict that death was due to the effect of a wound in the right leg, but whether accidental or otherwise, the evidence adduced, did not enable him to say (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 25 December 1947, page 7). |

Death | 23 September 1961 (aged 87 years) Obituary Annie Jane Halpin Residents of Kandos and Rylstone were sad to hear of the passing of Annie Jane Halpin in Rylstone District Hospital on September 23 at the age of 87 years. Deceased was born in Rylstone and lived all her life in the district. Her early life was spent on a property at Cox's Creek. She led a very active life right to the end and was dearly love and respected by all who knew her. She leaves a husband, James, aged 92 years, three sons, Roy (Kandos), Harley (Kandos), James (Queensland) and one daughter, Mrs. E. Davies (Belfast), four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. To the sorrowing relatives deepest sympathy is extended. The funeral took place after a service at the Kandos Church of England by Rev. L.
