DEATH MR. WALTER MOSS A former resident of Gulgong, in the person of Mr. Walter Moss (father of Mrs. C. F. A. Davis, of Birriwa), passed away on Saturday morning last at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Newby. Deceased had attained the great age of 87 years, and prior to going to Wellington had resided in Gulgong for a number of years. His wife predeceased him many years ago. A grown-up family survive him. The remains were encased in a polished maple casket, and were brought to Gulgong on Sunday and in the afternoon were laid to rest in the Church of England portion of the Gulgong cemetery, the services being read by the Rev. L. V. Caldwell. Our sympathy is extended (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 3 November 1932, page 12).

OBITUARY. MR. WALTER MOSS. There passed away at 7 o'clock on Saturday morning, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Newby, a familiar and well-known figure in Wellington, in the person of Mr. Walter Moss, who had attained the great age of 87 years. Although he had not been in the best of health for some time, he was only confined to his bed for one day before his death which was due to senility, and he passed away very quietly and peacefully after a life that had been full of energy. The late Mr. Moss was well-known in this town, and he did his daily walk to and fro from his home, and in the warm summer months he was a constant visitor to the bowling green, and though he was not an active player, he enjoyed watching the members at play. He came to Wellington from Gulgong, where he had resided for a number of years, and had been living with his daughter for a very long while. His wife predeceased him many years ago. A grown up family survive him. The remains were encased in a polished maple casket, and were taken to Gulgong yesterday, and in the afternoon were laid to rest in the Church of England portion of the Gulgong cemetery, the services being read by the Rev. Mr. Caldwell. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. C. J. Shakespeare (Wellington Times, Monday 31 October 1932, page 2).

DEATH Mr. David Ebenezer Moss The death took place on Thursday evening last of Mr David Moss, aged 58 years, of Pomany street. The deceased had not been in the best of health for some time. He passed away when being conveyed to the district hospital. The funeral took place to the C. of E. portion of the Rylstone General Cemetery on Friday. The Rev. Father Kircher officiated at the graveside. The 'Guardian' extends their sincere sympathy (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 20 April 1939, page 6).

MINER'S DEATH. MR. William Moss, a well known Kandos resident, who was employed at the Kandos Coomber Colliery at Charbon, died after a short illness on Tuesday. Deceased was 61 years of age and was a native of Rylstone. He resided in Bent Street, Kandos, for some years. He leaves a widow and family of five to mourn (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 3 September 1936, page 8).

Death Mr. Sydney. Herbert Moss died at his residence in Mudgee on Tuesday last, aged 61 years. He had been ailing for a considerable period, and his passing was not unexpected. For a lengthy period deceased was associated with the per way staff of the local railway, and was honest and conscientious in the performance of his duties. He held the respect of the department, and his fellow employees and his death will be very deeply regretted. To the sorrowing widow and family sincere sympathy is extended. The funeral took place to the Church of England portion of the general cemetery on Wednesday, the Rev. G. H. Officer officiating. Messrs. J. C. Swords and Son carried out the arrangements.
