Note: In Memoriam.

In Memoriam. WEATHERLEY. - In fond and loving remembrance of our dearly-beloved wife and mother, Catherine Eleanor, who departed this life on 14th May, 1899, at Bulinda, aged 42 years and eight months. You are gone, dear mother, yes, gone before, Gone, but not forgotten, nor will you ever be whilst we remain. You are far from us now, dear one, but not for ever, We hope to meet with thee again in that bright world above. We miss thee from thy home, dear one, We miss thee from thy place; A shadow o'er our life is cast, We miss thee everywhere. You are gone, dear mother, yes, gone before, gone, but not for ever There will be a glorious wakening when the blest Lord doth come. Farewell dear one, farewell to you, we shall meet on earth no more, But meet in that bright land above, where peace reigns for evermore, And the sorrows left behind are a load for us to bear, And if there is a path in Heaven we hope to meet her there. Inserted by her loving husband and daughters, ELIZABETH ANN and OLIVE EMILY, and GEORGE WEATHERLEY. Mudgee Guardian, Friday 21 July 1899, p. 12. In Memoriam Catherine Eleanor Weatherley

Note: DEATH AT ILFORD.

DEATH AT ILFORD. The death occurred at Woodbine, Ilford, on November 15, of Mrs. Cafe, an old and highly esteemed resident of that district. The deceased, who was a widow without family, was 70 years of age, and had been a cripple for years. Her death, from dropsy, was sudden and not expected. She had been living with Mr. J. Wetherley [Weatherley] for a number of years, at whose residence she passed away. The remains were interred in the Ilford cemetery on Wednesday afternoon. Mr. H. L. Taylor, of Kandos, had charge of the funeral arrangements (Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative, Thursday 24 November 1921, page 12).

DEATH Mr George Weatherley THERE passed away on Tuesday afternoon at his residence in Cobbora street, Dunedoo, Mr George Weatherley, aged 76 years. The late Mr Weatherley had been unwell for some time and death was not unexpected. Deceased was born at Ilford and throughout his life, had been engaged as a stockman on different stations in the Mudgee and Coolah districts before settling down in Dunedoo about 8 years ago. The late Mr Weatherley was highly respected by all with whom he came in contact. He was twice married and leaves a widow and a large family. Eleven of his children are of the first marriage, and thirteen of the second, a total of 24 children. Genuine sympathy is felt for the bereaved family, who have had more than their share of sorrow lately. At the present time three of the younger children are in the Gulgong hospital with pneumonia. The funeral took place at Dunedoo on Wednesday afternoon in the presence of a large number of town and district folk. The Rev. Farrer Church of England minister (Coolah) read the burial service. The "Guardian" extends its sympathy to the bereaved family. Mudgee Guardian, Thursday 8 March 1934, p. 6. Obituary George Weatherley
