MARRIAGE. The marriage took place on Wednesday afternoon of Mr. R. S. Rayner of McDonald's Creek and Miss E. E. Whittaker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Beny Whittaker, of Collingwood. The Rev. Wedding Bells RAYNER— WHITTAKER. On Wednesday, 15th August, by the Rev. Canon Parr, Elizabeth Ellen, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs B. Whittaker, of Collingwood, was married to Roland Sydney, eldest son of Mr. Arch Rayner, of M'Donald's Creek. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a dress of ivory cashmere de soie, trimmed with silver beads and hand-embroidered. She wore an embroidered veil with a wreath of orange blossoms, lent by a friend, and carried a shower bouquet of white sweet peas and asparagus fern and ribbon. She also wore a gold expanding wristlet watch, the gift of the bridegroom. She was attended by her sister, Jane, as bridesmaid, who wore a white crepe de chene dress, with silver trimmings, and carried a shower bouquet of pink sweet peas and ribbon streamers. A gold bangle was the gift of the bridegroom. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a gold watch and chain with medal attached. Mr. Lawrie Hawkins was best man.
